Bhandari asked Song to convey her best wishes to President Xi Jinping and said Nepal admires the great achievements China has made over the past 70 years since its founding, and sincerely hopes to learn the successful experience and practice from China. Nepal follows the One China principle, and by no means allows any force to conduct anti-China activities in Nepal's territory. Nepal highly praises the Belt and Road Initiative put forth by President Xi, and believes it brings new development opportunities for other countries including Nepal. Nepal is looking forward to enhancing cooperation in areas such as interconnectivity to boost the economic and social development of Nepal. Bhandari also congratulated on the successful hosting of the briefing session on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the Theory Seminar between the CPC and the CPN. She expressed the support for strengthening exchanges and cooperation among various political parties, including the CPC and the CPN to gather up the most extensive consensus for the friendly cooperation between Nepal and China.

Song conveyed President Xi Jinping’s warm greetings to Bhandari. He said, China and Nepal are neighboring countries, and the hearts of the two peoples are closely linked. The towering Himalayas does not block the exchanges between the two countries, but has witnessed the friendly exchanges between the two peoples. In this April, President Xi Jinping and Madam President reached important consensus on the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, leading relations between the two countries to new achievements. The Chinese side appreciates Nepal for resolutely following the One China policy, and will support Nepal in safeguarding sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and support Nepal in choosing a development path that suits its own national conditions as always. China is willing to work with Nepal to reinforce cooperation in various fields, help Nepal realize the bright vision of "Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali" at an early date. The CPC and the CPN share similar ruling concept. We are ready to enhance exchanges with various ruling parties in Nepal, including the CPN to well implement the important consensus reached by leaders of both sides, and push China-Nepal comprehensive cooperative partnership featuring everlasting friendship for greater progress.
