Song Tao Meets with Mongolian Democratic Party Delegation

Beijing, November 19th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation of the Mongolian Democratic Party led by Sodnomzundui Erdene, Chairman of Mongolian Democratic Party and Member of the State Great Hural.

Song welcomed Erdene’s visit to China for the first time since he became Chairman of the Mongolian Democratic Party. Song said that currently China-Mongolia relations are developing rapidly. President Xi Jinping has maintained close exchanges with Mongolian leaders, providing strong impetus and guidance for the development of bilateral relations. China always views its relations with Mongolia from a strategic and long-term perspective and supports Mongolia in pursuing a development path suited to its national conditions and accelerating its economic development. It is hoped that the two sides will respect each other's core interests and major concerns, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthen communication and coordination on international and regional affairs and strive to become strategic partners of mutual respect and trust, cooperative partners of mutual benefit and win-win results, friendly partners of frequent visits and multilateral cooperative partners of mutual assistance.

Song also briefed on the fourth plenary session of the 19 CPC Central Committee, and said that the CPC attaches great importance to the long-term friendly and cooperative relations with the Mongolian Democratic Party and is willing to work with the Mongolian Democratic Party to strengthen exchanges at all levels, share experience in state governance, further consolidate the political foundation of bilateral relations and contribute to the sound and stable development of China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership.

Erdene said that Mongolia attaches great importance to developing relations with China, admires China's great achievements in economic and social development and believes Mongolia will continue to benefit from China's development. The Mongolian Democratic Party looks forward to strengthening exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, in particular learning from the CPC's experience in party building at the grassroots level and cadre training, and actively pushing for greater development of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries.
