 ( 2020.07.13 )

On July 13th, Wang Yajun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), attended and addressed an opening ceremony of online training workshop for cadres of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) themed “working together to restore economic development and building a China-Cambodia community with a shared future.” On behalf of the IDCPC Minister Song Tao and the IDCPC, Wang congratulated on the opening of the online training workshop and spoke positively of China-Cambodia cooperation in pandemic response. He expressed China’s readiness to work with Cambodia to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by top leaders of the CPC and the CPP, intensify exchanges and communication with the CPP, and deepen cooperation across the board in a bid to promote the building of the China-Cambodia community with a shared future.

In his speech, Tak Sun Y, Head of CPP Central Commission for Propaganda and Education and head of the training workshop, congratulated China on the major strategic outcomes in COVID-19 response, and thanked China for providing strong support for Cambodia’s pandemic prevention and control. He said that Cambodia opposes politicizing the pandemic and using the pandemic for stigmatization. Hong Kong's national security legislation is purely an internal affair of China, and external forces have no right to interfere. Cambodia is ready to deepen exchanges of experience in party governance and state administration between the two Parties and elevate Cambodia-China bilateral relations to new highs.
