On the afternoon of July 16th, Zhu Rui, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, had telephone conversation via videolink with Burhan Kayaturk, Deputy Chairman of Foreign Affairs of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) of Turkey.

Zhu briefed on China's efforts in regular epidemic prevention and control, its economic and social development and active participation in international anti-epidemic cooperation, saying that CPC is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation withthe AKP under new situation, support each other on issues involving core interests and major concerns, and play a political leading role in the sound and stable development of China-Turkey strategic cooperative relations.

Kayatürk spoke highly of the outstanding achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC in epidemic prevention and control and the resumption of work and production. He expressed the oppositions to the politicization of the epidemic, the stigmatization of other countries, and the interference in other countries' internal affairs. He also said that the AKP attaches great importance to the friendship with the CPC and is willing to push forward the continuous development of Turkey-China relations through inter-party channels.
