Zhu Rui Meets with Egyptian Ambassador to China Mohamed Elbadri

Beijing, September 1st—Assistant Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Zhu Rui, met here today with Egyptian Ambassador to China Mohamed Elbadri.

Zhu spoke positively of China-Egypt relations and bilateral cooperation in fighting the epidemic, and expressed the willingness to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state on the development of bilateral relations through political parties, so as to promote the continuous development of China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership. Zhu also, combining with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech at a symposium on economic and social work, introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Elbadri said, Egypt attaches great importance to developing its relations with China, appreciates China for its support and help in fighting the epidemic in Egypt, and believes that relations between the two countries will achieve greater development after the epidemic. The Egyptian side firmly supports China on the issues that related to Taiwan, Hong Kong and Xinjiang, and opposes other countries’ interference in China’s internal affairs. It is willing to work with the Chinese side to safeguard international fairness and justice.

Both sides also exchanged views on the regional situation and other issues. Zhu also gave an English version of the third volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China o Mohamed Elbadri.
