Beijing, September 29th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, had a video call here on the morning with Ioteba Redfern, President of Tobwaan Kiribati Party (TKP). Chinese Ambassador to Kiribati Tang Songgen and others were present.
Guo spoke positively of the great significance of the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Kiribati. He said, the CPC is willing to, on the basis of respecting each other’s core interests and major concerns, work together with the TKP to develop a new type of inter-party relations featuring seeking common ground while putting aside differences, mutual learning and mutual respect, and ensure the constant and stable development of China-Kiribati relations.
Redfern spoke positively of the achievements of the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Kiribati. He said, the TKP attaches importance to developing relations with the CPC, hopes to continuously strengthen exchanges between the two Parties, enhance mutual understanding, and promote practical cooperation between the two countries in all areas, so as to better benefit the two peoples.
