Beijing, November 9th—The International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC (IDCPC), held here today a briefing on the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee for diplomatic envoys to China. Senior diplomats from more than 100 countries, including over 60 Ambassadors to China were present. Song Tao, Minister of the IDCPC, Yin Yanlin, Member of the Central Publicity Group for the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and Vice Minister of the Office of the Central Financial and Economic Affairs Commission, Xin Xiangyang, Party Secretary of the CPC Committee and Vice President of the Academy of Marxism at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Wang Changlin, President of the Academy of Macroeconomic Research of the National Development and Reform Commission delivered speeches. Through various means such as thematic short video clips, authoritative interpretation and on-site interaction, the briefing comprehensively and vividly introduced the historic significance, main content and global significance of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. The briefing strengthened other countries’ understanding of China’s development process and future prospect, and was very successful. The briefing was broadcast through six official languages of the United Nations at the same time.

Song and members of the Central Publicity Group introduced the comprehensive development achievements China has made during the 13th Five-Year period under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core in detail, and focused on the 14th Five-year Plan, how the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035 was made, and major concepts and measures including the new development stage, the new development concept and the new development paradigm. They stressed that the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee will not only provide strong impetus for China’s development, but will also inject greater confidence to economic recovery in the world, and offer more development opportunities for all countries. The CPC is willing to, together with the political parties and friendly personages of various countries, adhere to the right side of history, champion fairness and justice in the world, promote the integration of development strategies among countries, expand practical cooperation in various areas, follow the development path that suits respective national conditions, deepen communication in the concept of state governance and push the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

The diplomatic envoys thanked the IDCPC for timely organizing the briefing. They spoke highly of the significant results of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, commended the huge development achievements China has made in the 13th Five-Year period. They said that the proposals adopted at the session fully demonstrate CPC’s development philosophy with the people at the core, and draw a clear blueprint for China to realize high-quality development at the new stage in history, which will not only push China for greater development, but also exert great and positive impacts on the world. They hoped to strengthen experience exchanges and mutual learning in state governance and administration with the Chinese side, join hands in containing the COVID-19, push economic recovery and build together a better world.
