Beijing, November 9th—Zhu Rui, Assistant Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee attended and addressed here today on the evening the opening ceremony of the webinar for cadres of left-wing political parties of Arab countries and the theory seminar on socialism and multilateralism in the post-pandemic era. Leaders of 23 left-wing political parties from ten Arab countries including Egypt, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, and Tunisia were present. Experts of Party School of the CPC Central Committee (Chinese Academy of Governance) and the Research Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee made speeches on relevant topics.

Zhu mainly introduced the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. He said, the CPC is willing to strengthen solidarity and cooperation with left-wing political parties from Arab countries, deepen strategic communication and experience exchanges in state governance and administration, promote anti-epidemic cooperation between China and Arab countries and the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and safeguard multilateralism and international fairness and justice, so as to push the cause of socialism for constant development.

The Arabic side said, China’s successful experience in fighting against the COVID-19 shows the superiority of the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and China’s aid to other countries shows the spirit of humanitarianism. Several countries have spared no effort in suppressing and discrediting China, with the aim of shifting domestic contradictions and maintain its hegemony. Left-wing political parties from Arab countries spoke highly of the ruling concept of the CPC, voiced their firm support for the Chinese side on issues related to Xinjiang, Hong Kong, the South China Sea and the Taiwan question. They expressed the willingness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC to jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind.
