Beijing, December 17th—Shen Beili, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, had video talks here on the morning with Pablo Iturralde, President of the National Party of Uruguay. Fernando Lugris, Uruguayan Ambassador to China, and Wang Gang, Chinese Ambassador to Uruguay attended the talks online.
Shen made positive comments on relations between the two parties and the two countries, saying that the two parties are both the ruling parties and century-old parties, and face many common tasks and challenges. And the CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with the National Party to promote the sustained and stable development of the strategic partnership between China and Uruguay. She also introduced the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.
Iturralde congratulated China on its tremendous achievements in overall pandemic prevention and control and economic and social development. He believed that the CPC’s implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035 will bring more development opportunities to all countries in the world, including Uruguay. The National Party is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC and push China-Uruguay cooperation in all areas to a new level.
