Beijing, May 27th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held a video call here on the afternoon with Andre Flahaut, leader of Belgian Socialist Party and former President of Chamber of Representatives of Belgium.

Speaking positively of the relations between the two parties and the two countries, Qian said that the CPC is willing to maintain friendly exchanges with the Socialist Party, continue to enhance understanding, promote cooperation, and promote the continuous development of China-Belgium and China-EU relations.

Flahaut highly commended China’s international cooperation in fighting the COVID-19, saying that the CPC is about to celebrate its centenary. The Belgian side is willing to take it as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges and dialogues between the two parties and jointly cope with global challenges.
