Qian Hongshan Holds a Video Call with Pierre Laurent, President of National Council of the French Communist Party and Vice President of the French Senate

Beijing, April 21st—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held a video call here today on the afternoon with Pierre Laurent, President of National Council of the French Communist Party and Vice President of the French Senate.

Qian spoke positively of the relations between the two Parties and China and France, saying that the CPC attaches importance to the traditional friendship between the two Parties. The CPC is willing to continue to maintain communication and exchanges with the French Communist Party, enrich the connotation of inter-party exchanges, and jointly cope with the current complex and turbulent international situation, in a bid to promote sustainable and healthy development of China-France relations and China-Europe relations.

Laurent said the French Communist Party attaches great importance to the development of the traditional friendly relations between the two Parties. The French Communist Party hopes to further strengthen exchanges with the CPC in various fields, promote solidarity and coordination among communist parties across the world, and jointly safeguard world peace, stability and prosperity.
