Beijing, September 16th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held a group meeting with here today with diplomatic envoys of African countries to China.
Liu said, China and African countries have always been good friends who stand together through prosperity and adversity, good partners who share weal and woe, and good comrades who fully trust each other. The new era has witnessed new levels of China-Africa relations, in-depth progress of the "Nine Projects" of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and high-quality development of the Belt and Road cooperation with fruitful results under the joint guidance and promotion of General Secretary Xi Jinping and leaders of African countries. Both sides actively promoted the implementation of the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative, jointly safeguarded the common interests of developing countries, and led the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind with a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.
Liu said, inter-party relationship is an important part of China-Africa relations. The CPC is willing to, together with the political parties of African countries, implement the important consensus reached by General Secretary Xi Jinping and leaders of the African side, and build together a new type of relations between political parties characterized by mutual respect, mutual learning, and seeking common ground while setting aside differences. We are ready to, together with political parties of African countries, resolutely adhere to mutual learning, strengthen exchanges on issues of common interests including party building, poverty alleviation and development and jointly enhance governing capacity. We will stay committed to our original aspiration of working for the people, and constantly boost and facilitate China-Africa practical cooperation in the new era. We should stay committed to solidarity and coordination, and support each other on major issues regarding respective national sovereignty, territorial integrity, national dignity, and development interests. The CPC led the Chinese people to successfully blaze a uniquely Chinese path to modernization. We are ready to work with the African side to exchange experience in construction of modernization, jointly enrich paths to modernization and better benefit the peoples of China and Africa.
The diplomatic envoys of African countries to China spoke highly of China's remarkable development achievements made under the CPC Central Committee with comrade Xi Jinping at the core, particularly China's eradication of absolute poverty, which is a miracle of the history of mankind and greatly inspires the vast number of developing countries, including African countries. The diplomatic envoys thanked China for the selfless help over a long period, saying that China is a good partner of Africa sharing weal and woe, and that Africa-China friendship has grown stronger. The African countries firmly adhere to the one-China principle, saying that this position will never change. The diplomatic envoys noted, the close inter-party relationship is a distinct feature of Africa-China relations, playing an important role in pushing the long-term, healthy and sustainable development of Africa-China relations. They expressed the readiness to actively facilitate the experience exchange in state governance and administration between political parties of African countries and the CPC, learn the successful development experience from China, jointly cope with all challenges of today's world, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation under such frameworks as the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative, continue to write the glorious history of Africa-China relations, and push the building of the Africa-China community with a shared future in the new era. The diplomatic envoys wished the 20th CPC National Congress a complete success.
