Liu Jianchao Meets with a Delegation of the Democratic Party of Mongolia

Beijing, May 29th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by S. Odontuya, Vice Chairwoman of the State Great Hural, Mongolia's Parliament, and Chairwoman of the Women's Federation of the Democratic Party of Mongolia.

Liu said, at present, China-Mongolia relations maintain sound development momentum. At the end of last year, President Xi Jinping and visiting Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh reached important consensus on promoting the building of a China-Mongolia community with a shared future, injecting strong impetus into the development of bilateral relations. The CPC maintains friendly relations with the Democratic Party of Mongolia. Chairwoman Odontuya led a large-scale delegation to visit China this time, which reflects the friendship and mutual trust between our two parties. We highly appreciate the Democratic Party of Mongolia's firm support for the one-China principle, and hope that the two sides will give play to the important role of inter-party exchanges and continue to promote the development of China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership.

Liu welcomed the Mongolian side, who came to China to participate in the thematic briefing on "Stories of CPC—Hubei's Achievements in Practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era". He said that the event will help the Mongolian side learn about the vivid practices of CPC committees of Hubei in implementing the decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC's experience in state governance and administration, and advance the modernization process that suits the national conditions of Mongolia. The CPC is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges with the Democratic Party of Mongolia, deepen mutual learning of experience in party building and cadre training cooperation, promote exchanges between the legislative bodies of the two countries, expand exchanges among youth, women, and media, push the establishment of a new type of political party relationship, jointly carry forward the common values of all mankind and build a better world.

Odontuya said, China and Mongolia are friendly neighboring countries linked by mountains and rivers. Since the beginning of the new era, General Secretary Xi Jinping has adhered to the people-centered philosophy in governance and led the CPC and the Chinese people to achieve great success in such areas as national construction and poverty alleviation, providing valuable experience for Mongolia's development. Odontuya thanked the Chinese side for its help and support to Mongolia in fighting the epidemic and other aspects. The Mongolian side attaches great importance to developing relations with China, and is willing to, together with the Chinese side, firmly support each other, respect the development paths chosen by each other, and deepen Mongolia-China friendship. The Democratic Party of Mongolia has maintained friendly exchanges with the CPC for a long time, and is willing to strengthen strategic communication, deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in areas such as legislation, women, youth, and poverty alleviation with the CPC, so as to promote the comprehensive development of Mongolia-China relations.
