Kunming, November 10th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with Muhammad Faruk Khan, Presidium member of the Awami League and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Parliament of Bangladesh, who came to China to attend the CPC in Dialogue with Political Parties of Southeast Asian and South Asian Countries.
Sun said, in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China-Bangladesh strategic cooperative partnership has continued to achieve new progress. The CPC is willing to continue to maintain close exchanges and cooperation with the Awami League of Bangladesh and play a positive role in promoting China-Bangladesh relations and the well-being of the two peoples.
Muhammad Faruk Khan said, Bangladesh-China friendship is deeply rooted in the hearts of the two people, and the two countries have great potential for cooperation in various fields. The Awami League attaches great importance to developing relations with the CPC and looks forward to strengthening practical cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, to better assist Bangladesh's national development.
