Zhao Shitong Meets with Stephen Perry, former Chairman of the 48 Group Club

Beijing April 24th—Zhao Shitong, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Stephen Perry, former Chairman of the 48 Group Club, at request.  


Zhao spoke highly of the contributions made by Perry and the 48 Group Club to promoting economic, trade, people-to people and cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and the UK. He said, China is accelerating the development of new quality productive forces and continuously promoting high-quality development and high-level opening up, bringing huge opportunities for cooperation between China and the UK in various fields. He hoped that the 48 Group Club and the British business community would inherit the ice-breaking spirit and further expand mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields between the two countries.  

Perry highly appreciated the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind proposed by President Xi Jinping, and spoke positively of China's commitment to developing new quality productive forces and deepening reform and opening up. British companies are full of confidence in the prospects for China's economic development. The 48 Group Club is willing to seize the opportunities and continue to make positive efforts to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and the UK.
