Beijing, April 24th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of Lebanese political parties. Fouad Hassan, Deputy Secretary of the Leadership Committee of the Independent Nasserite Movement of Lebanon, served as coordinator of the delegation.  

Li gave a positive assessment of China-Lebanon relations and inter-party exchanges, and explained the connotation and characteristics of Chinese modernization in an in-depth way. He said, the Chinese side is willing to work with the Lebanese side to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Najib Mikati, promote bilateral relations for better development, and benefit the two countries and peoples. The CPC is willing to continuously deepen inter-party exchanges between China and Lebanon, as well as promote the Belt and Road cooperation and people-to-people ties between the two countries.  

Hassan expressed the gratitude to the Chinese side for the firm support for Lebanon in safeguarding sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and appreciated the Chinese side's positive role in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East, especially in promoting a fair solution to the Palestinian issue. Lebanese political parties are willing to strengthen exchanges with the CPC, learn experience of state governance and administration from the CPC, and promote the development of friendly cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
