Beijing, April 28th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation led by Suos Yara, First Vice Chairman of the External Relations Commission of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and Chairman of the National Assembly Commission on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Media and Information.  

Liu said, China and Cambodia are good friends who have a shared future and help each other. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping and Cambodian leaders, China-Cambodia friendship has continued to show new vitality and dynamism. The Chinese side is ready to work with the Cambodian side to implement the strategic consensus reached by the leaders of the two sides, deepen traditional friendship, enhance political mutual trust, strengthen practical cooperation in various fields, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, push the construction of a China-Cambodia community with a shared future for greater development, and boost regional development and prosperity.  

Liu said, the Chinese side commends the CPP for leading Cambodia to realize political and social stability and continuous improvement in the Cambodian people's lives. The Chinese side is pleased to see the CPP's smooth transition to a new generation of leadership, and thanks the Cambodian side for its firm support on issues concerning China's core interests. The Chinese side will, as always, firmly support Cambodia in following a development path that suits its national conditions and support Cambodia in playing a more important role on the international and regional stages. The CPC is willing to strengthen strategic communication with the CPP, deepen experience exchange in state governance and administration, strengthen friendly exchanges in youth and other fields, intensify coordination and cooperation on multilateral occasions of international political parties, and jointly safeguard international fairness and justice.  

Suos Yara said, Cambodia-China friendship is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. The Cambodian side attaches great importance to developing relations with China. The CPP is willing to work with the CPC to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, promote the integration of Cambodia's Pentagonal Strategy with the Belt and Road Initiative to flesh out the China-Cambodia "diamond hexagon" cooperation framework, and promote the construction of a Cambodia-China community with a shared future. The Cambodian side firmly supports the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind and the three major global initiatives proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping, adheres to the one-China principle, opposes external hype and interference with ulterior motives, and is willing to strengthen unity and coordination with the Chinese side to jointly promote regional peace and development.
