Sun Haiyan Meets with Leaders of Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa of Bhutan

Beijing, May 6thSun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with Karma Dorji, Deputy Leader of Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa (DNT), Former Minister of Industry, Commerce & Employment of Bhutan, and Tenzin Lekphell, General Secretary of DNT.  


Sun said, China and Bhutan are linked by mountains and rivers and enjoy a long-standing friendship. In recent years, under the guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China-Bhutan relations have maintained positive momentum of development. The CPC is willing to strengthen friendly exchanges with all political parties of Bhutan, including the DNT, and push China-Bhutan relations for constant development.  

The foreign side said, the Bhutanese side attaches great importance to developing friendly relations with China and looks forward to benefiting from China's rapid development. The DNT hopes to enhance exchanges with the CPC, strengthen exchanges of experience in party building and state governance, and push for more results in cooperation between the two countries in the fields including economy, trade, people-to-people and cultural exchanges.
