Beijing, May 13th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with a delegation of Thai political parties and youth elite cadres from all walks of life. The delegation was composed of representatives from major political parties, including the Palang Pracharat Party, the United Thai Nation Party, the Chart Thai Pattana Party, the THAI Ruamphalang Party, the Move Forward Party, the Democratic Party, and the Thai Sang Thai Party, as well as think tanks, mainstream media, and other sectors in Thailand.  

Sun said, the China-Thailand friendship is growing steadily, and cooperation between the two countries enjoys sound momentum in traditional fields and broad prospects in emerging fields. The CPC is willing to deepen exchanges and mutual learning with Thai political parties, think tanks, media and other young elites from all walks of life, enhance mutual understanding and trust, jointly follow the path of modernization and development of the two countries, and make positive contributions to regional and world peace, stability and prosperity.  

The Thai side highly appreciated the outstanding achievements in all fields of development under the leadership of the CPC, and positively evaluated China's important contributions to promoting regional development and prosperity, maintaining regional and world peace and stability. They expressed the willingness to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning between the political parties of both countries, especially young political elites, and promote Thailand-China friendship and cooperation in various fields for in-depth development.
