BEIJING, January 14 – Minister Wang Jiarui of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met on the morning of January 14 with a delegation of Turkey's Republican People's Party (CHP) headed by Kemal Kilicdaroglu, chairman of the CHP.
Wang said that China-Turkey relations, which have set off on a new fast track since the strategic cooperative relationship between the two countries was announced during Premier Wen Jiabao's 2010 visit to Turkey, were further deepened by the successful exchange of visits by Vice President Xi Jinping and Turkish Prime Minister Erdoğan in 2012. He affirmed that the CPC attaches great importance to the development of friendly ties with the CHP, supports efforts towards more exchanges between youth, women and other organizations as well as think tanks of the two countries, and actively works to build more platforms for bilateral practical cooperation, with a view to making new contribution to the growth of China-Turkey relations.
Kilicdaroglu spoke highly of relations between the two countries, and expressed readiness of the CHP to further exchanges with the CPC in all fields, and promote relations between the two nations with tangible results of party-to-party cooperation.
