BEIJING, Sept. 9 -- Guo Jinlong, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on Monday met with his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Quang Nghi.

Also Party secretary of Beijing, Guo said the CPC and Chinese government highly value the development of bilateral ties and are willing to maintain high-level contacts, strengthen governance, trade and cultural exchange between the two countries, and deepen cooperation between the two cities,

Nghi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Party chief of Hanoi, said his country is willing to enhance friendly exchange and cooperation with China.

Guo and Nghi both expressed the willingness to strengthen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries.
