The second CPC-LPRP theoretical seminar closes in Beijing

BEIJING, Nov. 6 -- The second theoretical seminar between the Communist Party of China and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party concluded today in Beijing. Wang Jiarui, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the closing ceremony of the seminar.

Vice-Minister Ai Ping of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Thongsalith Mangnomek, executive vice-president of Lao National Social Science Council and president of Lao National Social Science Institute, delivered closing remarks and applauded the outcomes of the seminar, agreeing that the seminar has met its goal of enhancing mutual understanding, deepening theoretical studies and promoting cooperation between the two sides.

Delegates from China and Laos held heated discussions over the theme of Improving Party Conduct and Building a Clean Government during the two-day seminar. They updated each other the latest studies on common theoretical and practical issues faced by the CPC and the LPRP and shared new practices and experience in fighting corruption.

The two sides agreed that building a clean government is a clear-cut political stand held by both parties and that it is imperative to eliminate the hotbed of corruption and build firmly a moral defense line against corruption and degeneration so as to score new victories of developing socialism. The two sides expressed readiness to continue to make full use of the theoretical seminar as an important platform to enhance communication and strengthen mutual learning.
