LAGOS, May 15 -- Joseph Boakai, vice president of Liberia and Vice Standard Bearer of the governing Unity Party, met on 13th in Monrovia with a CPC goodwill delegation headed by Huang Xianyao, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection.

Boakai expressed thanks to China over its valuable support and assistance to Liberia over the years for its post-war reconstruction and economic and social development, saying that Liberia hopes to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation with China, and strengthen their coordination and cooperation in international affairs. He reaffirmed Liberia's adherence to the one-China principle.

Huang said that the CPC attaches great importance to its relations with the Unity Party and is ready to work together to further consolidate and deepen their inter-party relations and bring China-Liberia friendly cooperation to a higher level.
