NANJING, June 27 -- The Fourth Session of the China-West Asian and North African Countries Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Cooperation Forum closed today in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province with broad consensus reached in promoting cooperation between SMEs from China and from West Asian and North African countries. The forum was co-hosted by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) and the Jiangsu Provincial Government and organized by the Changzhou City Government.
About 150 political leaders and entrepreneurs from 19 countries in West Asia and North Africa attended the two-day forum with the Chinese participants and held discussions centering on the theme of Promoting Win-Win Cooperation by Seizing New Opportunities under New Conditions. They exchanged views on development concepts and shared experience of SMEs' growth from different perspectives of political parties, governments and enterprises. Wide-ranging cooperation intentions were reached after discussions on thoughts and concrete measures for SMEs cooperation based on each other's demand and economic structures. All together nine cooperation agreements and memorandums were signed between the two sides.
After the closing ceremony of the forum, a joint press conference attended by IDCPC officials in charge of West Asian and North African affairs, officials from Changzhou City and foreign representatives introduced to the press related information and major outcomes of the forum. Foreign guests also made field visits to some local enterprises and industrial development zones in Changzhou.
