BEIJING, Oct. 23 -- Chinese Vice-president Li Yuanchao met here today with the representatives of Central and Eastern European Countries who are attending the Young Political Leaders Forum of China and CEE Countries.

Li said relations between China and the CEE countries have seen over 60 years of steady and healthy development. The Communist Party of China is willing to expand exchanges and dialogues with political parties of the CEE countries so as to promote mutual trust and forge more consensus. He hoped that the young political leaders of the two sides will build on the fine tradition of friendship and have sincere communication with a view to further cooperation in the future and in order to promote the friendly relations between China and the CEE countries.

The guests all believe that it is important to cultivate friendship between the peoples and especially between the youths of the two sides. They are willing to serve as a bridge connecting the CEE with China.
