WELLINGTON, Oct. 23 -- At the invitation of the New Zealand National Party, Luo Huining, member of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee is heading a CPC delegation for a visit to New Zealand from 20th to 23rd. Luo Huining met respectively with the President of the National Party Peter Goodfellow, Leader of the Labour Party David Cunliffe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Tim Groser and Mayor of Auckland Len Brown.
Luo told the New Zealand side that China sets great store by the relations with New Zealand and such relations have maintained a sound growth in the past 41 years since the beginning of the diplomatic ties. China is willing to deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation with New Zealand and lift the comprehensive and cooperative relations with New Zealand to a new high. The Communist Party of China is ready to tighten exchanges and mutual learning with major political parties in New Zealand so as contribute to the state-to-state relations.
The New Zealand side also believes that relations with China are at the best times. Their country is ready to strengthen cooperation with China in different fields in order to make new achievements in the bilateral relations. Political parties in New Zealand also wish to strengthen exchanges and dialogues with China so as to promote political mutual trust and facilitate practical cooperation.
