Beijing, April 23rd—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) held working talks here today on the afternoon with Sounthone Xayachack, Head of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee's Commission for External Relations.
Song and Sounthone spoke highly of relations between the two parties and the two countries, summarized communication and cooperation work of the two parties in 2017, and exchanged in-depth views on further deepening relations between the two parties in 2018, reaching important consensus.
Both sides jointly expressed that the IDCPC and the LPRP Central Committee's Commission for External Relations should further intensify coordination and cooperation, earnestly and well implement the important consensus on further developing relations between the two parties and the two countries reached by General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Boungnang Vorachith, enhance high-level mutual visits between the two parties, deepen mutual learning of theory and experience communication on party governance and state administration, well host the annual theory seminar between the two parties, enrich form and content of cadre communication and exchanges at all levels between the two parties and promote bilateral practical cooperation in various fields, so as to make positive efforts to continuously deepen and develop China-Laos comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
