Nay Pyi Taw, April 25th--U Win Myint, President of Myanmar and First Vice Chairman of the National League for Democracy (NLD) met here today with Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Song expressed that China values the Paukphaw friendship between the two countries, appreciates the government of NLD’s adherence to the friendly policies towards China and is willing to deepen the integration of development strategies of the two countries, so as to push China-Myanmar comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership for new progress.

U Win Myint noted that the Myanmar government attaches high importance to developing its relations with China, and regards China as a trustworthy good neighbor and good friend. Myanmar stands ready to further intensify high-level exchanges between the two countries, and deepen bilateral practical cooperation under the framework of the “Belt and Road” to benefit the two peoples.
