Shenzhen, May 27th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with the delegation led by Dashzeveg Amarbayasgalan, General Secretary of Mongolian People’s Party (MPP), who came to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Political Parties Forum.
Song welcomed the delegation of MPP led by Amarbayasgalan to attend the first SCO Political Parties Forum, and expressed that China stands ready to work with main political parties of member states and observer states of the SCO to make positive efforts for the building of a community with a shared future for the SCO.
Song expressed that China and Mongolia are friendly neighboring countries. President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Mongolia in 2014, and the two heads of state jointly confirmed the upgrade of China-Mongolia relations to comprehensive strategic partnership, drawing the blueprint for the development of bilateral relations. The CPC has enhanced exchanges and cooperation with main political parties of Mongolia including the MPP, and both sides have jointly implemented the consensus reached by the two heads of state. These gestures have not only further elevated and fulfilled inter-party relations, but also played the role of political guidance for the comprehensive development of bilateral relations and bilateral cooperation in regional and international affairs. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia. The CPC stands ready to, together with the MPP, continue making efforts, and further deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields and at various levels.
Amarbayasgalan congratulated the CPC on the successful holding of the first SCO Political Parties Forum. He noted that the CPC has not only achieved fruitful results in the advance of reform and opening up and provided valuable experience for friendly political parties, but also played a positive role of political guidance and friendly coordination in international and regional affairs, making important contributions to exchanges and cooperation among all political parties as well as regional peace, prosperity and development. The MPP cherishes its friendly relations with the CPC, and hopes to enhance exchanges and mutual learning with the CPC on party governance and state administration.
After the meeting, Song Tao and Dashzeveg Amarbayasgalan jointly signed a memorandum of understanding on exchanges and cooperation between the CPC and the MPP.
