Beijing, June 21st--Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with a delegation of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC).

Speaking highly of relations between the two parties and the two countries, Song deeply introduced the achievements and experience of China’s reform and opening up over the past 40 years, and addressed that General Secretary Xi Jinping and the CPC Central Committee have always attached importance to and developed the relations between the two parties and the two countries from a strategic height and long-term perspective. At the current important period when socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, and the economic and social mode of Cuba has been renewed, China stands ready to enhance exchanges and cooperation with Cuba, and supports Cuba in achieving new development of socialism construction, in a bid to promote China-Cuba relations to new stages.

Lázaro Expósito, First Secretary of the PCC Santiago Provincial Committee, thanked China for its long-term and firm support as well as selfless assistance for Cuba. He hoped to know more about self-building experience of the CPC and strengthen exchange of experience on party governance and state administration between the two sides through this visit, so as to promote respective party building and bilateral communication and cooperation for constant and new achievement.
