Dar-es-Salaam, July 15th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Ally Kakurwa Bashiru, Secretary-General of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM).

Song also introduced the important significance in holding the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting Africa Thematic Event in Tanzania, and expressed that China-Tanzania friendship, with a profound foundation, is the precious treasure jointly cultivated by the elder generations of leaders of both countries, which is passed down from generation to generation and also becomes even firmer as time goes by. Socialism with Chinese characteristics has currently entered a new era, and the national development cause of Tanzania has also entered a new stage. The relations between the two countries are facing new and important development opportunities. The CPC is willing to make joint efforts with the CCM to elevate the comprehensive cooperative partnership between the two countries featuring mutual benefit and win-win results to new highs.
Bashiru thanked the CPC for the long-term support for its cadre training, party building and exploring a development path suitable to its national conditions, and expressed that the upcoming CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting Africa Thematic Event will greatly promote Africa-China cooperation and unity in Africa. The CCM stands ready to continue to enhance cooperation with the CPC, share experience in state governance and administration, and improve governance capacity, in a bid to build Tanzania-China relations into a model for Africa-China relations.
