Beijing, September 2nd--Uhuru Kenyatta, President of Kenya and leader of the Jubilee Party, who was in China for the FOCAC Beijing Summit, met here today on the morning with Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), at the hotel where he stayed.
Song expressed that though the CPC and the Jubilee Party have established relations for a short term, the relations between the two parties have enjoyed fast development. The CPC and the Jubilee Party, both as ruling parties, have shouldered the historical missions of developing economy and improving peoples’ livelihood. The two parties should join hands and deal with common challenges of the rising unilateralism and protectionism they are facing in the international community. The CPC is willing to, together with the Jubilee Party, enhance inter-party exchanges and cooperation, share experience on the party building and governance, carry out mutual learning, and achieve progress together, in a bid to give play to the leading role in bilateral relations and benefit the two countries and the two peoples.
Kenyatta noted that the relations between the Jubilee Party and the CPC have enjoyed smooth development, providing important political guarantee for the development of relations between the two countries. The CPC is a major and time-honored political party. The Jubilee Party stands ready to, together with the CPC, further enhance inter-party exchanges, and deepen communication on experience of state governance and administration, so as to promote Kenya to achieve long-term prosperity and development.
Xu Lyuping, Vice-minister of the IDCPC, attended the meeting.
