Beijing, December 19th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Ace Magashule, Secretary General of the African National Congress (ANC) of South Africa.
Song said that in recent years, General Secretary and President Xi Jinping have met with ANC President and President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa many times and reached important consensus on deepening cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries, injecting new impetus into the development of China-South Africa comprehensive strategic partnership.
The CPC is ready to work with the ANC to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two sides, strengthen exchanges in party building and cadre training, enhance the party's governance capacity, lead the country to achieve greater development and bring benefits to the two peoples. It is hoped that the two sides will continue to support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns, strengthen coordination in international affairs and promote world peace and development.
Magashule said that the ANC attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is willing to further strengthen friendly exchanges with the CPC, deepen the exchange of experience in state governance and administration, promote bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, education and other international affairs and promote the long-term and stable development of bilateral relations.
