Beijing, June 1st—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with the newly-appointed Ambassador of Türkiye to China Dr. İsmail Hakkı Musa.

Liu welcomed Musa on his assumption of the new post in China. He said, under the guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in recent years, mutual trust between China and Türkiye has continuously been strengthened. The Chinese side congratulates President Erdogan on his successful re-election and looks forward to working with Türkiye to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, firmly support each other in safeguarding sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and promote new progress in respective modernization drive. The CPC maintains friendly relations with political parties such as the Justice and Development Party of Türkiye, and is willing to further reinforce inter-party exchanges, deepen exchanges and mutual learning, promote practical cooperation in various fields, and strive to improve and upgrade China-Türkiye relations.

Musa expressed his heartfelt thanks to President Xi Jinping for the immediate congratulations to President Erdogan on his re-election. He said, both Türkiye and China are rising emerging economies, which play an important role in promoting the resolution of the problems facing the world. Türkiye looks forward to strengthening high-level communication and interaction with China to chart the course for the relationship between the two countries and provide guidance for shaping the world landscape. Türkiye firmly adheres to the one-China principle and firmly respects China's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Türkiye fully recognizes the leading role of the CPC in China and supports the establishment of a regular dialogue mechanism between the CPC and the ruling party and other political parties of Türkiye to promote bilateral relations for better development.
