Dubai, December 8th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here today the 14th Sir Bani Yas Forum and delivered a speech and answered questions under the topic of a shift in international order.
Liu pointed out, the world today is facing profound changes unseen in a century. Changes in the world, in our times and in history are unfolding in ways like never before. Amid the uncertainty of the profound transformation of the international order, the global trend towards multipolarity is certain, the logic of sustained development of economic globalization is certain, the international community's pursuit of peace and stability is certain, and the trend of exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations is certain.
Liu said, while striving to create a good international environment for its own development, China has always been a contributor to global development, a defender of the international order, and a builder of world peace, and stayed committed to promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. This requires the building of an order featuring a shared future, peace, mutual benefit and win-win results, with major countries shouldering their responsibilities and the United Nations playing its roles. China has always been committed to a more just and equitable international order. President Xi Jinping has successively proposed the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind, the Belt and Road Initiative, the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative. They have and will continue to have a positive impact on the world and enable the world to evolve towards a more certain and better future.
Liu also elaborated on China’s positions on issues such as the Palestinian-Israeli issue, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and relations between major countries.
Established by the United Arab Emirates in 2010, the Sir Bani Yas Forum focuses on security and peace issues of the international community and the Middle East, and is highly influential in international and regional political and academic sectors.
