Alberto van Klaveren Stork said, Chile attaches great importance to its relations with China and regards China as one of its most important economic partners. Last year, I accompanied President Gabriel Boric on a successful visit to China. The two heads of state reached important consensus, laying a good foundation for the future development of bilateral relations. I was also deeply impressed by China's vibrant local economy. Chile-China relations feature comprehensive, in-depth and dynamic development, boasting huge potential. The Chilean government firmly adheres to the one-China principle and supports exchanges between the political parties and parliaments of the two countries. The Chilean side pays close attention to the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee held not long ago, and believes that the important resolution adopted at the plenary session is not only crucial to China's economic and social development, but also important to countries around the world, including Chile. The Chilean side is willing to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese side in economy, trade, and people-to-people and cultural engagement. More Chinese companies are welcome to invest and start businesses in Chile to push bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership for greater development.
The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
