Beijing, August 20th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of the Steering Committee tasked with reviewing theoretical and realistic issues related to Vietnam's four-decade-long socialist-oriented Doi Moi (renewal) process of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Ta Ngoc Tan, Deputy Chairman of the Theoretical Council of the CPV Central Committee and Member of the Steering Committee tasked with reviewing theoretical and realistic issues related to Vietnam's four-decade-long socialist-oriented Doi Moi (renewal) process of the CPV.
Liu said yesterday, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese President held talks with To Lam, General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and Vietnamese President, who was visiting China. They had an in-depth exchange of views on the relations between the two Parties and the two countries, charting the course for the development of China-Vietnam relations in the future. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Vietnamese side to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning on the theoretical construction of the Party, and promote China-Vietnam community with a shared future for in-depth and substantial development.
Ta Ngoc Tan said, Vietnam and China are both socialist countries led by the communist party. The two countries share similar cultures and concepts. Currently, the CPV is summarizing the theoretical and practical experience of 40 years of renewal. The Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Further Deepening Reform Comprehensively to Advance Chinese Modernization adopted at the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee can serve as a useful reference for the development and reform of Vietnam. The Vietnamese side is ready to work with the Chinese side to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration under the guidance of the important consensus of the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, make good use of the theoretical discussion mechanism between the two Parties, and promote Vietnam-China relations and the socialist cause for continuous development.
