Beijing, December 9th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation of A Just Russia party led by Sergey Mironov, Head of A Just Russia party.

Liu said, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin, China-Russia relations have set a prime example of relations between two major countries featuring everlasting good-neighborliness and friendship, comprehensive strategic coordination, and mutual benefit, cooperation and win-win. As major winning countries in World War II and permanent members of the United Nations (UN) Security Council, China and Russia have the mission of safeguarding world peace and security and promoting human progress. China and Russia should join hands to defend the historical truth and the fruits of victory of World War II. China appreciates Russia's firm support for China's just position on the Taiwan question. Inter-party exchanges are an important part of China-Russia bilateral relations. The CPC is willing to work with A Just Russia party to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, enhance exchanges and dialogues at all levels, continue to make good use of the China-Russia small and medium-sized enterprise cooperation roundtable conference, promote practical cooperation in various fields, and strengthen collaboration within multilateral frameworks such as BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to make greater contributions to the development of China-Russia relations in the new era. Liu also briefed on the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. 

Mironov said, this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of World War II. President Vladimir Putin and President Xi Jinping have visited each other and attended the commemorative events of China and Russia. Russia and China maintain high-level cooperation in such areas as politics, economy, trade, and people-to-people and cultural engagement. Russia and China have similar positions on international order and world multipolarization. Russia is willing to strengthen cooperation with China on these issues. A Just Russia party is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, continue to hold the Russia-China small and medium-sized enterprise cooperation roundtable conference well, and play an active role in promoting cooperation between the two countries in economic and trade fields. 

Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the IDCPC, and Igor Morgulov, Russian Ambassador to China, attended the meeting.
