Beijing, March 4th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation led by Ruth Hurtado, general secretary of the Republican Party of Chile.

Liu said, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Chile 56 years ago, the two countries have always adhered to the principles of equality, mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation, achieving numerous "firsts" and becoming a model of win-win cooperation among developing countries. Inter-party exchanges have played a positive role in enhancing China-Chile friendship and promoting bilateral cooperation. The CPC is willing to strengthen dialogue and communication with the Republican Party of Chile, conduct exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration in an in-depth way, promote pragmatic cooperation in various fields and exchanges at all levels through inter-party channels, and intensify coordination on multilateral affairs to help China-Chile comprehensive strategic partnership move steadily forward. The outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan will be reviewed and adopted during the upcoming Two Sessions, the annual sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC) and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). China will inject more stability into the world through its own high-quality development and provide opportunities for Chile. Liu also introduced the CPC's education campaign to help officials gain a correct understanding of what it means to perform well and act accordingly.

Hurtado said, China is Chile's comprehensive strategic partner. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Chile and China have carried out extensive cooperation on the basis of mutual respect, achieving fruitful results. The new Chilean government and the Republican Party will stay committed to developing relations with China and are willing to advance cooperation with China in various fields such as economy and trade, culture, think tanks, and universities, deepen exchanges of concept and experience in state governance and administration, and promote the continuous and in-depth development of Chile-China relations. Faced with a complex and volatile international situation, Chile will adhere to its policy of opening up to the outside world and uphold multilateralism, and is willing to continue to play the role of a bridge in promoting Latin America-China cooperation.
