Migiro read out Hassan's congratulatory letter to Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese President, on the establishment of the Research Center. Hassan stated in the congratulatory letter that since its completion and inauguration in 2022, the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership School has played an inspiring role in fostering leadership, deepening policy research and promoting African cooperation. The establishment of the Research Center marks a new milestone in the development of the School. It will strongly consolidate the traditional friendship between the CPC and the six sister parties in Southern Africa, and further enhance political mutual trust and solidarity between China and Africa. She expressed the hope that the Research Center will act as a catalyst in integrating China's experience with Africa's exploration, theoretical research with practical orientation, and historical friendship with future cooperation, making new contributions to elevating research capacity, enriching policy dialogue and strengthening cadre training in African countries, so as to advance the common cause of promoting peace, sovereignty, modernization and people's well-being between China and Africa.

Representatives of the six sister parties in Southern Africa warmly congratulated on the establishment of the Research Center, describing it as a historic moment of great significance. African countries are currently confronted with political, economic and security challenges, and are in urgent need of theoretical guidance and ideological leadership. In recent years, China has achieved remarkable new development and its international standing has risen significantly. These achievements are not accidental, but the result of the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Rooted in China’s history and culture and adhering to a people-centered approach, the Thought clearly and powerfully answers the questions of our times, offering valuable reference for African countries in exploring a modernization path suited to their national conditions. The establishment of the Research Center will create a new platform for Africa-China ideological exchanges and experience sharing of party governance and state administration. It will not only help political parties in African countries improve governance capacity and better serve their people, but also inspire African countries to boldly pursue ideological and practical breakthroughs, achieve more complete political independence and accelerate economic independence.

Liu expressed his great pleasure to attend the unveiling ceremony. He noted that great causes cannot be achieved without scientific theoretical guidance, and adhering to theoretical innovation is a fine tradition of the CPC. Since the beginning of the new era, Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era has led China to historic achievements and profound changes, and provided Chinese wisdom and solutions to common challenges facing the world. In the process of the CPC’s foreign exchanges, many countries, especially political parties in developing countries, have expressed their hope to learn from and draw on the important thoughts of General Secretary Xi Jinping, and to find “answers” to help solve their own problems in party governance and state administration. The establishment of the Research Center at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership School reflects the shared aspiration of the six sister parties in Southern Africa to deepen exchanges of experience on state governance and administration and jointly address governance challenges. He expressed the hope that the Research Center will integrate Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era with Africa’s realities, deepen theoretical research, assist the six sister parties in formulating guiding ideologies suited to their national conditions and the times, better serve the modernization process of African countries and further advance China-Africa relations.
Liu also presented books to the Research Center.
Marcellina Chijoriga, Principal of the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership School, presided over the ceremony. Chen Mingjian, Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania, and some diplomatic envoys in Tanzania were invited to attend the event.
