Beijing, June 22nd—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today upon request with Milojko Spaji?, President of the Europe Now! Movement and Prime Minister of Montenegro.

Spajic said he was delighted to visit China for the first time as Prime Minister and to attend the Summer Davos. He noted that he studied at Tsinghua University, an experience that left a deep impression and lasting memories. China and Montenegro share a long-standing traditional friendship, with fruitful cooperation in the economy, people-to-people and cultural exchanges and other fields. The China-aided Tara River Bridge reconstruction project stands as a symbol of the friendship between the two peoples. Montenegro stands ready to work with China to deepen practical cooperation across all sectors and strengthen people-to-people exchanges. The Europe Now! Movement and the CPC share similar values and principles. It stands ready to continue deepening inter-party exchanges and cooperation to drive forward relations between the two Parties and the two countries.

Liu said that in recent years, under the joint guidance of President Xi Jinping and Montenegro's leaders, China-Montenegro relations have developed in a sound and steady manner, with political mutual trust steadily strengthened and encouraging results achieved in practical cooperation across all fields under the framework of the Belt and Road cooperation and China-Central and Eastern European Countries Cooperation. Exchanges between the ruling parties of China and Montenegro are an important part of bilateral relations. Both the CPC and the Europe Now! Movement shoulder the mission of building national strength and prosperity. The CPC is ready to work with the Europe Now! Movement to deepen high-level exchanges, strengthen the sharing of ideas and experience in party governance and state governance, and promote exchanges and cooperation among youth, women, think tanks, the media and other sectors through the "political party+" platform, contributing political-party strength to the steady development of China-Montenegro and China-Europe relations.
