Beijing, July 10th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU PF), led by Mabel Chinomona, Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee and Secretary for the Women's League of the ZANU PF and President of the Senate. 

Liu noted that although China and Zimbabwe are far apart geographically, the two countries share a profound traditional friendship. Last year, President Xi Jinping and President Emmerson Mnangagwa jointly elevated bilateral relations to a China-Zimbabwe all-weather community with a shared future, opening a new chapter in the development of bilateral relations. The CPC and the ZANU PF have long maintained close exchanges, playing an important role in deepening strategic communication between the two countries, consolidating political mutual trust and promoting the development of bilateral relations. The CPC is ready to maintain institutionalized exchanges with the ZANU PF, strengthen strategic communication through high-level mutual visits and other forms, and advance exchanges and cooperation in such areas as ideology, women and youth, and media and think tanks. Liu also briefed the delegation on the main content of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the grand gathering celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and on Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building. He noted that Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building provides political parties around the world that aspire to tackle the challenges of self-governance with a "Chinese solution." The Chinese side is ready to deepen the exchange of ideas with the ZANU PF on such topics as party governance, so as to enhance governance capacity. 

Chinomona noted that Zimbabwe cherishes its brotherly friendship with China, has always been firmly committed to the one-China principle, and appreciates China's firm and longstanding support for Zimbabwe's economic and social development and on the international stage. The long-standing and friendly brotherly relationship between the ZANU PF and the CPC is the cornerstone of bilateral relations. The CPC attaches great importance to strengthening its own development, remains committed to a people-centered approach and upholds strict organizational discipline, offering important reference for political parties in developing countries. The ZANU PF is ready to further deepen exchanges with the CPC at all levels, strengthen the exchange and mutual learning of experience in party governance and state administration in such areas as discipline building, cadre training, grassroots mobilization and policy formulation, and better promote the development of their respective countries and the well-being of their peoples.
