Yan'an, September 10th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here today a thematic briefing "Stories of CPC—Achievements of Shaanxi in Practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era." In his keynote speech, Liu introduced to foreign participants, including political party leaders, the profound connotations and significance of the "Two Integrations". 

Liu said that in July 2021, at the ceremony marking the centenary of the CPC, General Secretary Xi Jinping first put forward the "Two Integrations", namely "integrating the basic tenets of Marxism with China's specific realities and integrating the basic tenets of Marxism with China's fine traditional culture." This is the theoretical essence distilled from the CPC's exploration of the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and the greatest treasure leading the success of Chinese modernization. 

Liu said that this year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. Along the way, the reason why the CPC has grown from small to big and from weak to strong, accomplishing its century-long great cause, lies fundamentally in its consistent commitment to adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times, continuously advancing the Party's theoretical and practical innovation, and turning its original aspiration of taking root among the people and seeking happiness for the people into persevering resolve and driving force. In the new era, under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, the CPC is upholding the "Two Integrations" and pioneering a new chapter of Chinese modernization on all fronts.
