Islamabad, November 1st—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), attended here tonight the event “A Journey to China, A Bond of Brotherhood: An Exchange Event Between the CPC and its Pakistani Iron-Clad Friends ” and the Inauguration Ceremony of the Pakistan-China Research Center for Party and State Governance.

Liu said in his speech that, since the 18th CPC National Congress, the IDCPC has invited nearly 1,000 Pakistani friends to visit China. They have witnessed the development of Chinese modernization, gained a deeper appreciation of fine traditional Chinese culture, and forged valuable friendships with the Chinese people. They have become participants in and contributors to China-Pakistan friendship and cooperation, as well as “ironclad friends” of the CPC. The renowned Pakistani poet Muhammad Iqbal once wrote, “It is the hour of the East’s arising; the East has a new sun shining in its breast.” Tonight, Islamabad shines bright with the friendship between the Chinese and Pakistani peoples. China-Pakistan friendship is a choice made by history, a call of the times, and an aspiration of the people.
