Islamabad, November 2nd—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here today the Symposium on Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building and China-Pakistan Seminar on Governance and delivered remarks. 

Liu said, the key to understanding China's governance lies in understanding the CPC's governance. To understand the CPC today, it is essential to grasp Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building. The CPC is a major political party with more than 100 million members. Without ideological consensus and clarity of direction, it would be impossible to exercise governance over the Party. Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building represents a major achievement in the Party's theoretical innovation through upholding the “two integrations,” particularly the second integration. With the “14 Commitments” as its core elements, it addresses major questions, including how a century-old party can achieve long-term governance. It provides fundamental guidance for the CPC's self-governance and offers important insights into the political logic underpinning China's governance.
