Beijing, April 13th—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the morning with Carlos Larrea, newly-appointed Ecuadorian Ambassador to China.

Speaking positively of new development achieved from China-Ecuador relations and exchanges between bilateral political parties, Li expressed that the CPC is willing to further enhance friendly cooperation with the ruling PAIS Alliance party and other major political parties of Ecuador, so as to promote China-Ecuador comprehensive strategic partnership for sustained and sound development.

Larrea said that Ecuador is ready to actively participate in the “Belt and Road” construction and boost mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields such as trade, investment, infrastructure construction and tourism between the two countries, in a bid to push Ecuador-China relations in the new era to new highs.
