Shenzhen, May 28th—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the morning with Manolo Pichardo, President of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL) and Leader of the Dominican Liberation Party, as well as leaders of the Dominican Revolutionary Party, the Dominican Workers Party and the United Left Movement Party, who were in China for the second China-CELAC Political Parties Forum and the special promotion conference on “Story of the CPC—Guangdong’s Practice of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”.

Speaking highly of the unremitting efforts made by political parties in the Dominican Republic to promote the normalization of relations between both countries for a long time, Li expressed that China is willing to make joint efforts with the country to translate bilateral cooperation potential into tangible cooperation results, so as to benefit the two peoples.

Pichardo and leaders of various parties in the Dominican Republic respectively expressed the willingness to further enhance bilateral party-to-party exchanges, so as to promote the comprehensive and in-depth development of relations between the two countries.
