Beijing, June 5th—Wang Yajun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today at noon with the cadre study group of the National United Front for an Independent, Neutral, Peaceful and Cooperative Cambodia (FUNCINPEC) Party led by Chap Nhalivoud, Vice President of the FUNCINPEC Party, Chair of the Commission on Health Care, Social & Veterans’ Affairs, Youth Rehabilitation, Labour, Vocational Training and Women’s Affairs and Member of the National Assembly.

Speaking highly of the relations between the two parties and the two countries, Li expressed the willingness to take the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cambodia as an opportunity to well implement the important consensus reached by leaders of the two countries, and deepen communication and cooperation in various fields, so as to promote relations between the two countries to develop in a sound and stable manner.

Chap Nhalivoud thanked the CPC and the Chinese government for selfless assistance to Cambodia for a long time, and expressed that the FUNCINPEC Party will inherit King Father Norodom Sihanouk’s unfulfilled wish to develop friendly cooperative relations between the two parties, in a bid to make positive contributions to consolidating Cambodia-China traditional friendship.
