Li Jun Meets with Minister of State at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sudan

Beijing, July 11th—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Osama Faisal, Minister of State at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sudan, who was in China for the 8th Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF).

Speaking positively of the active role Sudan has played in China-Arab states cooperation and China-Africa cooperation, Li expressed that China is willing to further deepen bilateral cooperation with Sudan under the frameworks of China-Arab states cooperation and China-Africa cooperation. The CPC attaches importance to developing friendly relations with Sudan National Congress Party, and is willing to give play to the political guiding role of ruling party exchanges, so as to promote China-Sudan strategic partnership for forward-looking development.

Congratulating on the successful holding of the CASCF Ministerial Meeting, Osama expressed that the important speech delivered by President Xi Jinping at the opening ceremony of the Ministerial Meeting charted the course for Arab states-China cooperation in the new period and injected new impetus into the joint construction of the Belt and Road between Arab states and China. Sudan will, as always, actively participate in the construction of the CASCF and the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and is willing to deepen Sudan-China exchanges and cooperation in various fields under the framework of the joint construction of the Belt and Road.
