Beijing, September 14th--Xu Lyuping, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with the cadre study group of the Forces for the Defense of Democracy (FDD) of Burundi headed by Evariste Ndayishimiye, Secretary General of the FDD.
Speaking positively of China-Burundi traditional friendship, Xu expressed that the CPC attaches great importance to developing friendly cooperative relations with the FDD of Burundi, and is willing to take Secretary General’s visit this time as an opportunity to make joint efforts with the Burundian side to actively implement the consensus on cooperation reached by the leaders of the two countries and outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, in a bid to promote the building of a new type of China-Burundi inter-party relations and an even stronger community with a shared future between China and Africa.
Ndayishimiye expressed that the FDD of Burundi stands ready to continue deepening exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties, strengthen exchanges of experience in various areas between the two Parties and further consolidate the political foundation of the relations between the two countries.
